Hosting and routing
Address allocations, autonomous system relationships and hosting providers observed for a domain or service over time.
Domain and registration history
Registration and expiry dates, nameserver changes and historical registration records where publicly retained.
Certificate and passive records
Publicly logged certificates and historical resolution records that place a service on given infrastructure at a given time.
What Infrastructure Data Cannot Establish
Shared hosting, content delivery networks and reseller arrangements place unrelated services on the same infrastructure, so co-location alone does not establish a relationship.
An address observed in a record identifies a network position, not a person, and is never written as identification of an individual.
Limitations
Provider records are retained for limited periods and are not obtainable by request. Analysis is confined to material that is public or lawfully supplied.
